The Vermont Humanities Council (VHC) will add Manchester as a location for the 2007-08 season of its popular lecture series, First Wednesdays. The series, hosted by Mark Skinner Library, will be at Manchester’s First Congregational Church in its first season due to library renovations.
First Wednesdays is a humanities forum that takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from October through May, bringing nationally and regionally renowned speakers to local libraries for public lectures on a diverse range of topics. All events take place at 7 p.m.
The VHC wants to bring the power and pleasure of the humanities to all Vermonters to encourage every individual to learn throughout life.
