Feast of Venus

In May, Helmholz Fine Art played host to a sold-out crowd of more than 100 of the area’s women leaders for a bountiful, farm-fresh feast. The centerpiece of the evening was local artist Elizabeth Torak’s oil-on-linen piece Feast of Venus, named for the goddess whose role included the hearth. The artist herself spoke and presented the 108-inch-by-60-inch work that took four years to create and showcases women.

Serving as a benefit for Hunger Free Vermont, which provides nutrition education and expands access to nutrition programs for Vermont’s children, families, and communities, the evening brought attendees together in celebration, appreciation, connection, and local spirit.
